CURVED PIPE JACKING

The use of straight pipe jacking method might still have some difficulties in built up or urban area, narrow roads and existing underground utilities which are too costly & time consuming to divert to have an intermediate jacking shaft for the proposed jacking span.

In such a scenario the feasible solution is to carry out curve jacking from the jacking shaft kept away from these impact points. Multiple curve can be carried out within a single jacking span jacking to avoid any underground obstruction such as underground structures along the jacking route. Gyro compass is used to navigate the jacking machine while carrying out curve jacking.
